ROCKY’S ACE HARDWARE RAISES FUNDS FOR LOCAL CHILDREN’S HOSPITALS

Local Rocky’s Ace Hardware Stores Rally Together to Raise $44,593 for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Across New England and Florida

Throughout 2017, Rocky’s Ace Hardware stores helped make miracles happen throughout Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Maine and Florida. Collectively, Rocky’s stores in all five states raised a total of $44,593 for their local children’s hospital, an outstanding 67% increase over last year’s total.

Throughout the year, Rocky’s stores participated in month long “round-up” fundraising pushes at the register, Bucket Day Sales, World’s Finest Chocolate sales, and other initiatives to raise these vital funds.

One hundred percent of funds raised through these campaigns remained local, benefiting Boston Children’s Hospital, Baystate Children’s Hospital, UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital, Hasbro Children’s Hospital, Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, and the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital.

Rocco J. Falcone, President of Rocky’s Ace Hardware says, “we are so pleased to be  part of Children’s Miracle Network. Personally, I am very glad to see such a significant increase in the funds raised to support such a worthy cause. We all look forward to building upon this success throughout the upcoming years”.

“The money raised by Rocky’s Ace Hardware stores is vital to each of our children’s hospitals. These funds go directly to the areas of greatest needs at the hospitals, and the programs that insurance doesn’t cover. They step in to provide housing for patient families, medical supplies, fund research, and support our Child Life programs. Each dollar has a significant impact, and 100% of the donations go directly to benefiting the kids” says Devon Herlihy, Coordinator for Children’s Miracle Network Programs at Boston Children’s Hospital.

Ace Hardware has been a proud supporter of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals since 1991. Thanks to the generosity of Ace customers, retailers, vendors and team members, together Ace has raised more than $93 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals across the country.

Last month, the group was recognized for their outstanding efforts by Children’s Miracle Network.
